  • The good people over at the Official Blog of Union Hockey posted a great pre-game reading list for today's game. There's a lot there from a lot of sources.
  • If you haven't seen it, check it out. Union gets some well deserved ink in the New York Times.
  • As a Norwalk, CT native, it's nice to see Kevin Sullivan--a Darien, CT kid (our neighbors)--get some press. Like me, it'll be easy for his family to get to the game today in Bridgeport.
  • Speaking of which, if you can't make it, the game will be broadcast on ESPNU starting at 3:00.
  • SB Nation says that Union and UMass-Lowell will bring legions of fans.
  • The New Haven Register also prints a story about Union.
  • UMass-Lowell and Miami will play the game following Union's if you'd like to stick around.
  • Sort of off topic: Michigan State was bounced from the NCAA basketball tournament.
  • The Michigan State Spartans have won the NCAA tournament 3 times: 1966, 1986, and 2007. This marks their 24th appearance in the tournament. They've made the Frozen Four nine times.
  • We'll be updating the blog throughout the day, but in the meantime follow us on Twitter for up-to-the-minute updates. We'll be back with lines. You can follow Michigan State Hockey on Twitter, as well. And of course, follow Union Hockey and Ken Schott.

The inimitable Jeff Weinstein posted two press conference videos on the Official Blog of Union Hockey:
