Dutchmen rise in polls

Union swept a two game non-conference series at Penn State over the weekend, and was rewarded by college hockey poll voters Monday.

The Dutchmen were ranked 11th in the USCHO top-20 poll, their highest ranking in the poll this season. They were 15th a week ago.

Union was slotted 14th in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine top-15 poll, marking their highest spot in the poll since being ranked 12th in the preseason edition. The Dutchmen were unranked last week.

The Dutchmen return to action this weekend they they resume ECAC play at Messa Rink. They host Princeton Friday before a clash with #5/5 Quinnipiac the following night. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m.
