Kyle Bodie joins Simpson in South Carolina

The ECHL's San Francisco Bulls traded former Union forward Kyle Bodie to the South Carolina Stingrays for future considerations, it was announced Wednesday.

The move reunites Bodie with former Union teammate Wayne Simpson, who currently plays for the Stingrays. The two played together with the Dutchmen from 2009-2013.

It was the second time Bodie was traded this season. He originally signed with the Cincinnati Cyclones in August, but was dealt to the Bulls on November 14. Between the two stops, Bodie has two goals and an assist in 16 games.

Bodie and Simpson aren't the only former Union teammates playing together professionally. Defensemen Ryan Forgaard, Greg Coburn, and Nolan Julseth-White are currently with the ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers. Goaltender Keith Kinkaid and forward Kelly Zajac skate with the AHL's Albany Devils.
