Dutchmen match highest-ever ranking

Union matched its highest-ever ranking in the national polls on Monday, checking in at No. 3 in the USCHO.com poll and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll.

The Dutchmen rose one spot in the former and three spots in the latter.

Union picked up a 4-3 win over Brown on Friday and a 5-3 victory over defending national champion Yale on Saturday.

Boston College moved from second to first in both polls. The Eagles, which topped Boston University and Merrimack last week, received 47-of-50 first-place votes in the USCHO.com poll and 33-of-34 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll.

Minnesota fell from first to second in both polls after two losses to Wisconsin. The Gophers scooped up the remaining first-place votes in both polls.

ECACH-leading Union (13-3-0 ECACH, 19-6-3 overall) travels to #10/11 Cornell and #19/RV Colgate this weekend.
