Dutchwomen featured on WNYT NewsChannel 13 (with video)

The Dutchwomen were featured on WNYT NewsChannel 13 on Thursday.

The team gathered at Messa Rink to watch the Olympic gold medal game in women's hockey between the United States and Canada. The connection was United States forward Julie Chu, who was an assistant coach with the Dutchwomen from 2010-2013.

The U.S appeared to be on its way to a gold medal before Canada rallied from a 2-0 deficit with a pair of late third period goals. Canada won it, 3-2, after Marie-Philip Poulin scored a power play goal at 8:10 of overtime.

Union head coach Claudia Barcomb and co-captains Ashley Johnston and Maddy Norton were interviewed for the segment, which can be seen below:
