The American Hockey League's Portland Pirates recalled former Union goaltender Colin Stevens from the ECHL's Manchester Monarchs on Thursday.
The Niskayuna native appeared in 20 games with the Monarchs this season, going 13-5-1 with a 2.36 goals-against average, a .921 save percentage and two shutouts.
Stevens could make his AHL debut as early as Friday when Portland travels to Rochester.
After completing his Union career last March, Stevens signed an entry-level contract with the Florida Panthers, Portland's NHL parent club.
He was assigned to the Monarchs prior to the season after a stint in Pirates training camp.
The Pirates roster includes winger Wayne Simpson, who played with Stevens for two years at Union.
