Last night, #12 Colgate upset #5 RPI 2-1 in a double overtime thriller at Houston Field House in Troy, NY. Colgate sophomore forward Robbie Bourdon shot the puck from the half boards that went through two sets of players from each team and hit under the cross bar to lift the water bottle and send Colgate to the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals.

The #1 Union Dutchmen will now host a weekend best-of-3 playoff series with a hot #12 Colgate Raiders team this upcoming weekend. Game 1 will begin at 7 pm on Friday, Game 2 will be played at 7 pm on Saturday, and a deciding game 3 (if necessary) will be played on Sunday night at 7 pm.
By being upset in the first round, RPI has now fallen to 17th and tied with Boston University in the pairwise rankings. Their seasonis over, while BU and other conferences have yet to begin league playoff action. RPI is now strongly predicted to miss the NCAA tournament later this month. OOO YEAH!!!!!!
