Union junior defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere was the top vote-getter in the first round of fan balloting for the Hobey Baker Award.
The 2012 Philadelphia Flyers draftee led the field with over 24,000 votes. St. Cloud State goaltender Ryan Faragher came in second, while Boston College forward Johnny Gaudreau was third.
The second round of fan voting begins March 20, when the top 10 finalists are named.
The Hobey Baker Hat Trick finalists will be announced April 3, and the winner will be selected April 11 at the Frozen Four in Philadelphia.
