Union men's hockey head coach Rick Bennett has been named one of three finalists for the Tim Taylor Award as ECAC Hockey's Coach of the Year, the league announced Wednesday.

Under Bennett, the third-ranked Dutchmen (24-6-3 overall, 18-3-1 ECACH) captured their third Cleary Cup in the past four years after setting program records for conference wins (18) and points (37) in a season.

Union finished the regular season having scored the most goals in ECACH play (83) while allowing the least (40).

Bennett previously won the award in 2011-2012, his first season as Union's head coach. He is the first coach in program history to record three consecutive 20-plus win seasons.

The other finalists are Clarkson's Casey Jones and Colgate's Don Vaughan.
