by Ryan Fay

Goaltenders Troy Grosenick and Keith Kinkaid were teammates at Union during the 2010-2011 season.

On Sunday, they were opponents for the first time in their professional careers.

And it was Grosenick who came out ahead.

Grosenick turned aside 37-of-40 shots and four-of-five shootout attempts to lead the Worcester Sharks to a 4-3 shootout win over the Albany Devils in American Hockey League action at the DCU Center.

Kinkaid made 19 saves on 22 shots, but found himself on the wrong end of the decision after allowing two goals during the shootout.

On the year, Grosenick is 13-10-0 with a 2.67 GAA and a .904 save percentage. Kinkaid is 21-9-4 with a 2.26 GAA and a .914 save percentage.

Kinkaid could have his chance at revenge when Albany hosts Worcester March 29 at the Times Union Center.
