Opening night ceremony to start at 7:45 p.m.

The festivities before next Friday's regular season opener against American International will begin at 7:45 p.m., it was announced Friday.

Fans attending are asked to be in their seats by 7:30 p.m. Four banners will be raised to the Messa Rink rafters. The ECAC Hockey Cleary Cup regular season championship banner will go up first, followed by the ECACH tournament Whitelaw Cup banner, then the NCAA tournament participation banner and, lastly, the NCAA championship banner.

Several former players are expected to attend the festivities.

The game will begin at 8 p.m. Standing-room only tickets still remain.
