Sullivan scores first pro goal

by Ryan Fay

Former Union forward Kevin Sullivan scored his first professional goal on Wednesday for the ECHL's Cincinnati Cyclones.

He lit the lamp at 13:09 of the second period to bring the Cyclones even with the Utah Grizzlies at 2-2. The Grizzlies went on to win, 4-3, in a shootout.

Sullivan, who signed with the Cyclones before the season, has a goal and five assists in 12 games with the team.

Sullivan played for Union from 2010-2014, registering 23 goals and 54 assists in 132 career games. His late third period goal against Minnesota in last year's national championship game helped seal the Dutchmen's first national title.
