Lundberg is slated to report to the Whale's practice Thursday night at 10 p.m.
The move sends Lundberg from the team tied for last place in the league to the team in first place. The NWHL is in its inaugural season.
Lundberg appeared in one game for the Riveters this season, a relief outing in a 7-1 loss to the Boston Pride on Oct. 18. She turned aside 28-of-32 shots in 28:36 of action.
She signed with Riveters last July following the completion of her Union career. She had a program-record 3,023 saves for the Dutchwomen. Lundberg also has the most victories (20) and shutouts (six) in school history.
