I came across this the other day during my hours of procrastination from schoolwork. I know this is at a Utah State basketball game, and Cornell is known for having their own similar version, but could Union College hockey fans gathered together at Messa Rink pull this off?

Actually back in the DIII days the crowd at Achilles (Students) did do the winning team losing team chant. I guess it would have to take a few seeded students in some spots in the rink and perhaps the band to start chiming in.

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, as awesome as that first chant is, Cornell already does it so we would just be copying them.
ReplyDeleteThe second chant ("I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN") is one of the coolest things I have ever seen chanted at a sporting event. It would be appropriate now more than ever in Union's history to adopt that chant since Union is now in the top 10 for the first time in our history and we should truly believe that we will win ever game. (I also like it because it references Tug McGraw's "Ya Gotta Believe" Mets saying.
