Two players who were integral parts of last year's Cleary Cup team made news in the NHL sphere: Keith Kinkaid started a preseason game last night against the Rangers, while Adam Presizniuk was cut from the Boston Bruins' training camp roster exactly one week ago.
Kinkaid logged 10 saves--on ten shots--in 31:13 of icetime. The former all-ECAC goaltender suited up in new pads in Devils red and black. However, he donned his Union helmet while wearing number 50.
For Presizniuk, however, the press wasn't quite as rosy. After playing in Boston Bruins' rookie camp, the former Union standout was let go only nine days later. There is still time, however, for Adam to sign with another team. His opportunity to crack the pro ranks will likely come via a PTO, a professional tryout agreement, with an AHL team. From there, the prolific college scorer will hopefully bring his nose for the net to the pro ranks.
