College Hockey Video of The Week: 1988 Stunner

It's been a while since we've done a college hockey video of the week, but coming off the heels of Union's 5-1 win last Saturday against RPI, it seems fitting to select this one--an oldie, but a goodie.

Remember, as of the 1988-1989 season, Union was not yet a Division I school. RPI was. Union, beaten the previous year 13-0 by the Engineers, looked to win their first ever game against their Troy rivals.

Also, isn't it great to see boards sans ads?

Reflections from November 5, 1988

Edit: Jim Teresco, who put together this page, comments, quite nicely, below:
Great video and great memories. I was going to post a link to my old writeup of this game, but I see there is already a link to it. In there, I say I that after seeing Union beat RPI that night, I hadn't missed more than a handful of home games in 10 years. I haven't missed many more since then, still a season ticket holder now back for my 24th season following the team.
