Second Intermission Thoughts

RPI battled back in the second, but it didn't show on the scoreboard. At the end of the second Union had the 3-1 advantage

Union took advantage of the power play they had to start the period, with Coburn stuffing the puck in right before the official whistled the play dead.

With the goal, Union has now scored two power play goals in three of the four games they have played RPI this season.

There was another power play opportunity in the second that Union couldn't capitalize on, but 2-for-3 is still pretty darn good.

Troy Grosenick had a good period as well. RPI outshot Union 12 to 10 in the period, but thanks to some nice stops by Grosenick, they didn't tally a single goal.

Union is 19-0-3 when leading after two. A good sign going into the third...knock on wood.
