Julseth-White set to debut in AHL

by Ryan Fay

Former Union defenseman Nolan Julseth-White has been loaned to the San Antonio Rampage (AHL) on a professional tryout contract.

Julseth-White (Union Athletics)
Julseth-White, who graduated last spring, had been spending his
first professional season with the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL. In 37 games, he had two goals and 14 assists.

The news comes just a few days after I interviewed Las Vegas head coach Ryan Mougenel. The coach said Julseth-White was going to be in the AHL just this year and it was only a matter of where. It turns out San Antonio is where.

Julseth-White could debut for San Antonio as early as this weekend when the Rampage have two games at Oklahoma City.

He would join Kelly Zajac (Albany) and Jeremy Welsh (Charlotte) as members of last year's frozen four team to play in the AHL this season.

San Antonio is the AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers.
