Greg Coburn is heading overseas.
The senior defenseman has signed a contract with Ilves Tampere of the Finnish Elite League, the top professional hockey league in Finland. Terms were not disclosed.
The 24-year-old piled up 73 points (20 goals) and registered a cumulative plus-41 rating in 153 career games at Union.
This past season was his best with career highs in goals (eight), assists (20), and points (28). Coburn ranked in the top three in each category among ECAC defensemen.
Often noted for his leadership ability, Coburn served as an alternate captain this past year.
