Tonight's line charts - 10/18/13

by Ryan Fay

Line charts (below) have been released for tonight's 7:00 p.m tilt between #15/16 Union and Lake Superior State at Messa Rink.

A few notes:

* Union freshman defenseman Matt Krug makes his collegiate debut tonight. Krug replaces sophomore defenseman Sebastien Gingras; that is the only lineup change from last Saturday.

Krug came to Union after two seasons with the U.S Hockey League's Indiana Ice. The 6-foot-1, 198 pounder had five goals and 17 assists in 108 career games with the Ice.

"He is a character kid who works hard and has a good first pass," Indiana head coach Jeff Brown told me earlier this year. "He's more of a stay at home defenseman. He's a good leader. Krug won’t step in and be an impact guy, but over the course of his time at Union, he will be a regular and a big part of the future."

* Union goaltender Colin Stevens (upper-body), forward Max Novak (lower-body), forward Eli Lichtenwald (lower-body), forward Matt Wilkins (upper-body) and forward David Roy (lower-body) remain sidelined.
