He scored... and then he didn't.
Former Union winger Wayne Simpson was initially credited with his first professional goal in South Carolina's (ECHL) 2-1 win over Gwinnett on Sunday.
But a scoring change on Monday morning stripped Simpson of the goal, leaving him once again in search of his first professional tally.
Simpson was undeterred as he lit the lamp on a one-timer in the third period of South Carolina's 6-4 loss to Gwinnett on Tuesday. Barring any changes, Simpson has notched his first professional goal.
He has a goal and two assists in eight contests with South Carolina this season.
