Former Union winger Wayne Simpson scored his first professional goal on Sunday to help lead the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays to a 2-1 win over Gwinnett.
Simpson scored at 19:02 of the first period to tie the game at 1-1.
In seven games with South Carolina this season, Simpson has a goal and two assists.
Simpson recorded 115 points (56 goals, 59 assists) in 159 career games for Union from 2009-2013. He is one of ten players to score 100 or more career points in Union's Division I era (1991-pres).
