Dutchmen Ex-Files - 12/15/13

Get the scoop on what several former Dutchmen have done in the past week:

Ex-Union Player of the Week - 
D Shawn Stuart (Drakkars, French Elite League)
Stuart scored his first professional goal in style Saturday, lighting the lamp at 1:10 of overtime to lift Drakkars to a 4-3 win over Strasbourg. He also has five assists in 14 games this year.

In other happenings:

F Kyle Bodie (South Carolina, ECHL)
South Carolina acquired Bodie for future considerations in a Wednesday trade with San Francisco, a move that reunited him with former Union teammate Wayne Simpson.

The change in scenery has paid off quickly for Bodie. He has three points through his first three games with the Stingrays, equaling his output from his first 16 pro games split between Cincinnati and San Francisco.

Bodie assisted Simpson in Friday's 3-2 loss at Gwinnett before recording his first multi-point game at the professional level in Sunday's 3-2 setback to Greenville. He had a goal and an assist.

He has three goals and three assists in 19 games on the season.

D Greg Coburn (Las Vegas, ECHL)
Coburn has registered an assist in three of Las Vegas' last four games, pushing his season point total to six (3 g, 3 a) in 20 contests.

F T.J Fox (Denver, CHL)
Fox has a goal in three straight games for the Cutthroats. In the same span, he also has an assist. The stretch raised his season line to 4-7--11 in 24 games.

G Troy Grosenick (Worcester, AHL)
Grosenick pushed aside 22-of-25 shots in a 3-1 loss to Manchester Friday.

The 24-year-old is 5-3-0 on the year with a .922 save percentage and a 2.01 goals against average that's second-best in the circuit and tops among qualified rookies.

F Josh Jooris (Abbotsford, AHL)
Jooris has lent a helping hand lately, collecting an assist in back-to-back games for the Heat. He has two goals and seven assists in 26 games.

G Keith Kinkaid (Albany, AHL)
Kinkaid picked up 22 saves in a 2-0 shutout of Bridgeport on Tuesday. He followed that effort with another strong showing against Bridgeport on Friday, turning aside 23-of-24 shots in a 6-1 win.

Kinkaid is a sparkling 11-3-1 on the year with a 2.03 GAA and a .921 save percentage in 15 games. He ranks third in the league in wins and GAA.

F Wayne Simpson (South Carolina, ECHL)
Simpson scored a goal in Friday's loss at Gwinnett and chipped in an assist in Saturday's 2-1 win over Orlando. He has at least a point in six of his last eight games. Overall, he has five goals and six assists in 19 games.

F Kelly Zajac (Albany, AHL)
Zajac's seven-game point streak ended on Wednesday, but he contributed an assist on Friday. He has two goals and 11 assists in 20 games this season. He remains second on the Devils in assists.
