Dutchmen ranked third in USCHO poll

by Ryan Fay

After a weekend sweep at New Hampshire, Union rose in Monday's USCHO top 20 poll.

The Dutchmen moved up three spots to third, matching their highest ranking ever overall. Union was previously ranked third twice during its Frozen Four run in 2011-2012.

Union beat New Hampshire 3-1 on Friday before duplicating the result on Saturday.

Union, the highest-ranked ECAC team in the poll, returns to action on Friday with a home matchup against Harvard. Gametime is 7 p.m.
