Brendan Taylor, the leading scorer for the British Columbia Hockey League's Nanaimo Clippers, has committed to Union for the 2015-16 season.

Taylor, 18, has 55 points (23 goals, 32 assists) in 55 games this season. The forward is tied for the team lead in power play goals with seven, and his six game-winning goals pace the team and rank third in the BCHL.

"Very excited to announce that I have committed to Union College for 2015," Taylor said in a tweet. "[I] couldn't have done it without my friends and family."

Taylor, who checks in at 6-foot and 190 pounds, is in his third season with the Clippers. The Nanaimo native recorded 15 goals and 12 assists during his first two seasons with the Clippers.

He joins forward Mark Dufour, forward Spencer Foo, forward Cole Maier, forward Brett Supinski and goaltender Joe Young as presently known recruits for the 2015-2016 season.
