Dutchmen sweep ECACH weekly awards

Following its third consecutive ECAC Hockey tournament championship, top-ranked Union swept the league's weekly awards on Wednesday.

Senior winger Daniel Carr earned his first Player of the Week award of the season after recording two goals and three assists in the championship round versus Cornell and Colgate in Lake Placid. He was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

Junior netminder Colin Stevens, a Niskayuna native, was named Goaltender of the Week after stopping 55-of-59 shots in the championship round. It's his second consecutive Goaltender of the Week award and sixth of the season.

Freshman center Mike Vecchione was honored as Rookie of the Week. Vecchione finished the championship round with two goals and a plus-4 rating. It's his second Rookie of the Week award of the season; the other came last week.
