The Union men's hockey team returned home on Sunday following the team's 7-4 national championship game win over Minnesota on Saturday in Philadelphia.
A few hundred fans attended a welcome home celebration behind Messa Rink. Several luminaries were also on hand, including Union College President Stephen C. Ainlay, Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy, Schenectady Councilwoman Marion Porterfield, and Assemblyman Jim Tedisco, a Union College graduate.
