The Musketeers drafted Walker in the sixth round (102nd overall) in the Phase II portion of the 2014 USHL Draft. The 17-year-old forward completed camp with the Musketeers earlier this summer and was named to their active 25-man roster for the upcoming season.

The Musketeers depart for Ufa, Russia on August 14th to play in the Junior World Cup Tournament. The regular season begins Sept. 26 against Omaha.

“I’m extremely excited to get the opportunity to play for the Sioux City Musketeers," Walker said. “Going to Russia will be an unforgettable experience and I can’t wait for the season to start.”

Walker skated with the U-16 New Jersey Titans of the Atlantic Youth Hockey League last season. He piled up 17 goals and 43 assists in 26 games.

“The Titans are very proud of Ryan and look forward to seeing him continue to hone his skills at the next level,” said Titans President George Haviland.

The Musketeers are coached by Jay Varady, a forward at Union from 1997-2000.
