Fox inks deal with CHL's Sundogs

Former Union forward T.J Fox signed with the Central Hockey League's Arizona Sundogs for the 2014-2015 season, the club announced Wednesday.

“I am extremely grateful that [Sundogs head coach Kevin] Colley has given me the opportunity to join the Sundogs organization," Fox said. “I’m looking forward to the start of the season, and to begin working alongside my teammates to bring the President’s Cup back to the fans in Prescott Valley."

The 30-year-old spent last season with the CHL's Denver Cutthroats, where he collected eight goals and 19 assists in 63 regular season games. He aided Denver's march to the CHL finals by adding six assists in 16 postseason games.

Fox registered 21 goals and 36 assists in 66 career games with Union from 2005-2007. He signed with the San Jose Sharks after leading the Dutchmen in scoring during his sophomore season with 13 goals and 24 assists in 36 games. He spent two seasons with the American Hockey League's Worcester Sharks and recorded 19 goals and 23 assists in 150 career games.

In addition to the AHL and CHL, the eighth-year pro from Oswego has also played in Germany and the ECHL.
