Former Union forward Josh Jooris came up short in his bid to break camp with the Calgary Flames.
Jooris was sent down to the American Hockey League's Adirondack Flames on Sunday. Jooris opened eyes in Calgary's training camp and had two goals and an assist in six preseason games. But ultimately he couldn't push out veterans with more of a track record.
While Jooris won't begin the season with Calgary, the strong camp should put him in good position to be one of the team's first callups.
Adirondack opens the regular season Friday at Utica.
