Devils recall ex-Union goalie Kinkaid

by Ryan Fay

The New Jersey Devils recalled former Union goalie Keith Kinkaid from the American Hockey League's Albany Devils on Tuesday.

Kinkaid
Kinkaid, who played at Union from 2009-2011, appeared in six games for Albany this season. He went 4-0-2 with a 1.95 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage. The GAA and save percentage were both ninth-best in the AHL.

In a corresponding move, New Jersey reassigned veteran goalie Scott Clemmensen to Albany. He began the season as New Jersey's backup after winning a training camp battle with Kinkaid, but had a 6.56 GAA and a .765 save percentage in two games.

Kinkaid has appeared in one NHL game, a 5-2 loss to Tampa Bay on March 5, 2013. He stopped 12-of-13 shots in relief of Johan Hedberg that night.
