Keady joins Harvard as assistant coach

by Ryan Fay

Liz Keady, who served as an assistant coach for the Union women's hockey team last season, has joined Harvard in the same position, the school announced Monday.

Keady
"Liz comes to Harvard after a terrific playing career at Princeton and the US National Team," said Harvard head coach Katey Stone. "She will be a great asset to our players at Harvard and those seeking to continue their playing careers on the international stage."

In addition to Keady, Harvard also hired former Princeton assistant coach Lee-J Mirasolo for the same role. The pair replaces associate head coach Maura Crowell, now the head coach at Minnesota-Duluth, and assistant coach Laura Bellamy, now an assistant under Crowell.

Keady's departure marked the third straight offseason that the Dutchwomen lost an assistant coach. Two years ago, Julie Chu departed to focus on her Olympic career. She was replaced by Nicholas Carpenito, who left last summer to become an assistant coach at Northeastern.

Union named former Williams College assistant coach Chris Cobb as Keady's replacement earlier on Monday.
