"I am very honored and excited to announce my commitment to Union College for next year," tweeted Brown, who serves as one of the Dukes' alternate captains. "I cannot thank my family and friends enough for helping make this possible. I would also like to send a huge thank you out to past and current teammates, coaches, and billet [families]."

The 19-year-old forward has 11 goals and 11 assists in 15 games this season. His 11 goals are third-most in the league, and his 22 points are tied for fifth-most. He's tied for the league lead in power-play goals with five.

The 6-foot, 175-pound Brown has skated with the Dukes since the 2012-13 season. In 161 career games with the team, the native of Napanee, Ontario has 43 goals and 67 assists.

"Luc is an offensive player who possesses a pro shot and release," said Dukes head coach Marty Abrams. "He has developed into a well-rounded 200-foot player to compliment his offensive skills."
