by Ryan Fay

The San Jose Sharks recalled former Union goaltender Troy Grosenick from the American Hockey League's San Jose Barracuda on Sunday.

Grosenick
Grosenick appeared in 16 games with the Barracuda this season, going 7-4-3 with a 3.03 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage.

Grosenick's only previous NHL stint came last season. He had a 45-save shutout in his debut, a 2-0 win at Carolina on Nov. 16, 2014. The performance set an NHL record for most stops in a shutout debut in the modern era.

The 26-year-old is 1-1-0 with a 1.53 goals-against average and a .948 save percentage in two career NHL games.

Grosenick joins defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere (Philadelphia), forward Josh Jooris (Calgary), forward Daniel Carr (Montreal) and goaltender Keith Kinkaid (New Jersey) as former Union products currently in the NHL.
