Dutchmen up to second in polls

Union moved up in the college hockey polls on Monday following season-opening wins over American International and New Hampshire.

Union rose three spots to No. 2 in the USCHO.com top 20 poll, and five spots to No. 2 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine top 15 poll. Union (2-0) received three first-place votes in the USCHO.com poll.

After beating American International 7-3 on Friday, Union kept the good times rolling with a 3-1 win over New Hampshire on Saturday.

Minnesota (2-0) is the top-ranked team in both polls.
