by Ryan Fay

Union senior goalie Shenae Lundberg was named ECAC Hockey women's Goaltender of the Month for the month of December on Wednesday.

Lundberg had a 1.38 goals-against average and a .958 save percentage in five December starts to lift the Dutchwomen to a 3-1-1 record during the month. The Deerfield Academy product paced the country in wins (3), shutouts (2) and saves (161). Fifty nine of those saves came during a 1-0 win at Northeastern on Dec. 2, a performance which set an NCAA women's hockey record for the most saves in a shutout. The win also marked Union's first-ever victory against the Huskies.

The Dutchwomen resume play this weekend, hosting sixth-ranked Harvard Friday at 7 p.m. and Dartmouth Saturday at 4 p.m. Saturday's contest marks the team's eighth annual Pink at the Rink game. Admission to the game is free to all Union College students and fans can also get in for free with a donation to Kristen's Kause.
