Union at Cornell line charts

by Ryan Fay

Union will look to find its offense when it takes on Cornell tonight at 7 at Lynah Rink.

The Dutchmen have been blanked in three straight games, the longest such streak in their 24 seasons as a Division I team. A 2-0 loss to Yale on Feb. 13 was followed by a 1-0 setback against Brown the next night. On Friday, Union dropped a 2-0 decision at Coglate.

The offensive drought follows a stretch where Union scored in 98 consecutive games, which was at the time the longest non-shutout streak in the country.

Union's last tally came when Ryan Scarfo scored with 1:01 left in a 7-1 loss at St. Lawrence on Feb. 7, a span of 181 minutes and one second.

The Dutchmen made two lineup changes for tonight. Mark Bennett and Nick Cruice are in up front for Tyler Hynes and David Roy.
