Wilkins in Flames development camp

Union senior forward Matt Wilkins will be among the 42 players taking part in the Calgary Flames' upcoming prospect development camp, it was announced late Saturday.

The camp is scheduled for July 6-10 at the Canadian Olympic Park in Calgary. The camp will be divided into four groups of players, A-D. Wilkins, a free agent invitee, will be in Group D.

According to a press release from the Flames, the camp aims to "enhance each player’s development process through direction on conditioning and familiarity with the Flames organization."

Wilkins appeared in 34 games last season, setting career-high's in goals (13), assists (15) and points (28). The 24-year-old was named the Dutchmen's most improved player at their annual postseason awards banquet.
