Union was picked 11th in the ECAC Hockey women's preseason coaches poll, the league announced Tuesday.
The Dutchwomen finished with 19 points in the poll, just five more than Brown, which was picked to finish in last place. Harvard was tabbed to finish first.
Union finished last season in 11th place after going 1-16-5 in league play. Overall, the Dutchwomen went 4-22-8.
Union was shutout on the preseason all-conference team, which was dominated by Harvard and Clarkson. The Crimson placed four players on the team, goalie Emerance Maschmeyer, defenseman Michelle Picard and forwards Miye D’Oench and Mary Parker. Defenseman Erin Ambrose and forward Cayley Mercer made it for the Golden Knights.
