The Dutchmen checked in at No. 18 while receiving 145 points. Union hadn't made the poll since being ranked 20th on Dec. 8th, 2014.

Over the weekend, Union (2-0-2) skated to a 1-1 tie against Maine on Friday before picking up a 2-0 victory in the rematch on Saturday. Freshman goaltender Jake Kupsky recorded a 26-save shutout in his collegiate debut to fuel the win.

Union was one of five ECAC Hockey teams in the poll. Harvard (t-9), Yale (13), Quinnipiac (14) and St. Lawrence (17) also made it.

The Dutchmen return to action on Friday when they host 11th-ranked Michigan for the first time ever. The Wolverines (2-0) opened their season over the weekend with a two-game sweep of Mercyhurst.
