Recruits selected in USHL draft (updated)

Four Union men's hockey recruits were drafted in phase two of the U.S Hockey League draft on Tuesday.

Forward Ryan Walker, a 2016-2017 commit, was selected in the sixth round (102nd overall) by the Sioux City Musketeers. Walker, who turns 17 on May 28, recorded 46 goals and 90 assists in 46 games with the New Jersey Titans this season.

Forward Brett Supinski was drafted in the ninth round (148th overall) by the Sioux Falls Stampede. The 18-year-old registered 20 goals and 21 assists in 32 games for Millbrook School this season. He is committed to Union for 2015-2016.

Defenseman J.C Brassard, 18, was nabbed by the Youngstown Phantoms in the 10th round (153rd overall). The Noble and Greenough product was the top point-getter among New England prep defensemen this season with 11 goals and 32 assists in 27 games. He is committed to Union for 2015-2016.

Forward Wade Novak was picked by the Bloomington Thunder in the 15th round (240th overall). Novak, the younger brother of current Dutchmen forward Max Novak, collected 15 goals and 10 assists in 25 games for the New Jersey Hitmen this season. The 17-year-old is committed to Union for 2016-2017.
